A Project exploring physical and bodily machine interaction.
what does a machine look like?
…when we put material curiosity before technological novelty?
…playfulness before efficiency?
…strangeness before familiarity?
Exhibition: Elastic Interactions of the Third Machine Age
The installation stages a collection of strange moving latex objects that are bizarrely human in their texture and character.
An eerie whirring of pumps and clunking of valves is the soundtrack as the audience is enticed in to a playful projection of human emotion. The life-like movement and texture provokes physical interaction and a desire to interpret the machine’s alien behaviour.
